Historical Sites

The Isle of Wight is bursting with famous historical sites, from Carisbrooke Castle in Newport to Osborne House near East Cowes. Many manor houses across the Island are open to the public, as well as the monuments and Bronze Age burial sites that are open to anyone that can walk to them! Ventnor has it's own Ventnor Heritage Museum, as well as the Longshoreman's Museum on the waterfront, both of which are filled with interesting maritime history and facts about the town.
